  • waiting game

Well, here we are playing the waiting game.  It started yesterday when we switched from Time Warner to Verizon.  They made an appt. for 11am -2pm.  Will went to work early so he could leave for lunch at 11 and be here when they came.  Verizon ended up coming at 10am (not only waking up baby girl from her nap but I had to call Will to come home early)  He told them at work since he was leaving an hour early, he should be back an hour early.........no way.......it was after 3:45 when they finished installing the it!          One thing you have to know about my William is that his motto has always been "go with what you know".  At first it was just concerning the menu when we used to go out to eat with our friends up north once all our children were gone.  Later he expanded it to cover everything.     Once Verizon was gone and we started acquainting ourselves with the new set up the first thing to come to mind was .........Yep, "go with what you know"  Was this a mistake for us?   Well, it was a good laugh anyway!    Admittedly, 24 hr. later, it is looking a bit better.  We changed because it should save us $50 a month.  We have had Time Warner for over 20 yr.......you would think that would be a reason to give us a discount but no, the discounted price was for new people who subscribe!!!

Had a great day with Matt on Mon.  We baked 2 cakes, went out to lunch, painted a pumpkin, made meat loaf for dinner and even got to see baby girl for a few minutes when Matt gave her pictures he got had taken for her and gave her the bar of soap he brought home from the hotel for her (Mickey Mouse was imprinted on it)   Yesterday it was just baby girl and me and Papa was here because of Verizon, so she followed Papa all around calling him whenever he got out of her sight.     Today was something else.  It was cold, windy and only in the 50's but she insisted she wanted to take a walk down in the next block to see the many blow-ups they had in their yard.  (You probably remember what a fan I am of those blow up yard decorations......NOT)   But I finally gave in and bundled her up and off we went.  She insisted she had to push her umbrella doll stroller down there.  I tried to talk to her into riding down in her umbrella stroller but she wanted nothing to do with that stroller.  She had looked adorable when we started out, she had on a gray knit dress with ruffles on the bottom with pink polka dots on the ruffles and pink knit leg warmers the same color at the polka dots.  Her hair had the front pulled back with one of her Minnie Mouse hair bows.  Just before we got to our destination, my poor baby girl went into the ditch, stroller first and because it had rained recently, the ditch was filled with water.  She never cried.  But she was soaked!  She looked up and signed and said "help"!  I pulled her out and then go the doll stroller out which was still right side up. Once I got her out, she said "Gramma, Home"!!!!   I felt so bad for her.  I must interject here that if you want the ditch filled in in front of your house, you have to pay the village for it.  Susan, with Matt in the stroller, later Matthew by himself and once my sweet Lael, all fell in the same ditch during the time we have lived here.    We did had ours filled in but you can't force other people to do it.     Fortunately, I had a change of clothes here for her.

I called the doctors office today because no one ever called me back and tomorrow will be a week since I had the last bloodwork and ultrasound.  They called me right back to tell me they would check my chart and call me back with the results...........I am still waiting!!!!!!!
