Looks can be deceiving..........
I am sure by now a lot of you have seen the picture I posted on Facebook on Fri. My poor William cut his hand on a jagged piece of metal.........he called me from urgent care to tell me he would be late as he was getting his hand stitched up! Of course I was upset what with him saying, "it is not too bad, it is just that it is a gaping wound and stitches are needed to close it up and stop the bleeding." Then he came home looking like this:
It really wasn't that bad though........after he took off the bandage, it looked like this
I am alone this week. Well not exactly alone, Uncle Roy and Ali are here with me and I have the kiddos everyday. What I mean is that my sweet William has gone up north to help Josh work on the new house they are building. While I am pleased that Will wants to go help with the house, I am not a big fan of being here without him. He used to travel a lot for the PO and I hated it when he left. I know, it is only a week and I am really not alone and I should pull up my big girl pants and act like an adult. I am trying, really I am. We stopped over at Matt's this afternoon so Will could tell him goodbye and that he would see him when he got back. Matt said, "Do you have to go"? Papa said he did. Matt asked it he could come home after 2 days, Papa said he doubted it. "Then how about 4 days"? Guess I am not the only one who is gonna miss Papa
Not a lot of news here. I see Uncle Roy failing more and more each day. He is a bit more steady on his feet with the cane but even walking to the kitchen can tire him out to the point he has to sit down for a while before doing whatever it was he came into the kitchen for in the first place. His eyesight is getting worse too. Yesterday I watched him try to cut a piece of pie. The pie was half gone and he was cutting trying to lift out a slice from the empty side of the pie plate!
We have had cooler temps here for the past few days, no need for the air all weekend and overnight temps were only 60's. I absolutely am loving it

Just the thought of being cut from something sharp and metal makes me almost shiver!! I think it does look like it was bad. I can imagine how hard it must be for him to be gone, and poor Matt. Bless his little heart, Maybe the time will pass quickly!
Yikes! Sorry about hubby's hand and him being gone all week. My hubby is gone part of this week as well. Which is why I am taking down wallpaper....hopefully it will make the time go by faster!

Poor sweet Uncle Roy
Girl, I feel for ya- I hate it when Mountain Man is gone too. He is considering taking a 3rd shift job and I want to scream NO! But I know, I have to step back. But I just want him home. And if it were up to me, it would be ALL THE TIME!! SO I hope the time passes swiftly and maybe ya can find something to do to occupy your time.
@victoriantomboy - There are a lot of things I would love to work on but none are conducive to having an almost 2 yr. old and a 7 yr. old. Matt said he will help me with the stuff Papa usually helps me with.
What a kid!
@susanscorner - It does make you shiver to think of being cut by that jagged metal edge, even the cut is jagged!
@atticusfin - I am glad he is helping Josh with their dream house. (It is in the country, in the woods, just what they want)
@lifeontheWink - I hope so too. He is not as concerned about his hand as I expected him to be.

Oww! Not fun to have cuts that need stitching! Hope your week is nice even with Will gone. Glad you have Matt around to help. What a blessing.
I don't like being alone either lol, maybe this week will just fly by!
