just another manic Monday.......
I'm back.......... OK, I am back in the sense that I feel enough better to even want to look at the computer. My cough is still hanging on but has quieted down a lot. The Urgent Care doc last week, told me after the meds were gone the cough would no doubt hang on another 10 days
I have 2 days left of the cough syrup and the antibiotic. I am tired, worn out actually, I can not believe that I can be this worn out from coughing 24/7 but I am. Today I am making another meal for Susan and Tom as part of their Christmas gift certificate. Lasagna, salad, garlic bread with cheese and I am making a batch of chocolate chip cookies for them and I made the same for us but with strawberry shortcake for our dessert. Uncle Roy will not eat that so I had to make something different for him.
Did I mention I am worn out??? I have the last load of laundry in the dryer and the bathroom rug and Ali's rug are drying on the railing to the back deck. No, I do not have a clothes line.I will have baby girl again tomorrow and Wed. this week, so that is good. I get to see her but only 2 days so I am hoping I can rest some.
Here are a few things that make me say hmmm??!!! Why do people wear pajama pants and slippers out to the store???? Why do girls wear short shorts and Ugg winter boots with fleece lining?? Why do I still see guys wearing ball caps with the tags hanging on them... I know that was the "style" for a while but I thought it had passed! No, I am not judging what people should and shouldn't wear, I am not the fashion police (where are they when this is going on anyway???) Don't you ever wonder about these things?
We bought a double take deal on the computer for our favorite ice cream place, Abbots frozen custard. It was buy $15 worth of ice cream, get $15 free.......it wasn't until after you purchased it that it said you need to spend the full $15 at one time
. I guess we could bring some home and put it in the freezer but I loved that they make it fresh every day. I know, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't!!!

Coughing is really wearing because your sleep gets interrupted all the time.
We were laughing yesterday at a young adult who was in pair of Sponge Bob pajama pants. I heard in Shipshewana sometime in Feb. you can get a discount by shopping in your pjs!
Have a great week and better health too!
Sure hope you can get some rest and get rid of that lingering cough!
Yes.....I've noticed some of the things that people wear out in public and it boggles my mind!! What were they thinking??????I love the pic of grandbaby!! She is such a cute darling and she looks so happy! I hope you feel better soon. I know what you mean about the way some people dress. I always wonder if they crawl out of bed, get in the car,and drive to the store.
I feel very much unworthy of your kind comment!
Hope your day is lovely!
Hope you get to feeling better. The dr told me lots of hot black tea and chamomile tea would help. I've been battling allergies on top of it. NOT fun! Praying for you!
Hope you're feeling better each day. I have to say, you are pretty productive for being exhausted.
PS. That little one has an amazing head of hair!
Wow! I would LOVE a gift certificate like that!!! Have you tried ginger tea for the cough? Get a small ginger root from the grocery store. Peel off the gray skin. Grate the root and fill up an ice cube tray with it adding a small amount of water to hold it together frozen. Put about 2 cells worth into a quart jar (before you freeze it) and pour boiling water over it filling the jar. Put lid on. Allow to steep for at least 8 hours.
Go ahead and pour a cup in about an hour adding honey to taste so you start to get it in you. Sip on it all day and make another quart. You will be surprised at how much better you feel.
I don't get the public pajama wearing either. Baby girl is beautiful! Just beautiful. Hope you feel better soon and kick that nasty cough. :)
I am glad your back to almost normal, I hate coughing & any kind of breathing problems makes for bad nights.
Baby girl has gotten so big she is adorable!
Feel better dear friend...(((
